Later 19th-century bindings handsomely bound in grained leather with gilt tooling and on-lay compartments. Light wear to extremities with minor scuffing to corners and edges. Spines slightly abraded with light scuffing to head and tail. Gilt dentelles bright and clean with lovely marbled end papers. Free of known ownership. Dampness staining to Volume II at fly top margin and gutter. No other instances of dampness staining known. Light toning throughout each text block with minor instances of foxing. Slight offsetting from plates. Free of known marginalia. Bindings tight and intact. All edges gilt. Complete. Please see photos.
