*Lost Books of the Bible-Suppressed Gospels New Testament/Forbidden-9 Volumes-CD

You are about to purchase a CD disk containing ALL 9 VOLUMES of The Suppressed Gospels and Epistles of the New Testament by Archbishop Wake, in PDF file format. As a bonus, the CD also includes The Lost Books of the Bible and The Forgotten Books of Eden. All three books total more than 1000 pages of fascinating reading! Shipping is FREE to the U.S.A.! About the Author: William Wake (1657-1737), English archbishop, was born in Blandford Forum, Dorset, on January 26 1657, and educated at Christ Church, Oxford. He took orders, and in 1682 went to Paris as chaplain to the ambassador Richard Graham, Viscount Preston (1648-1695). Here he became acquainted with many of the savants of the capital, and was much interested in French clerical affairs. He also collated some Paris manuscripts of the Greek Testament for John Fell, bishop of Oxford. He returned to England in 1685; in 1688 he became preacher at Gray’s Inn, and in 1689 he received a canonry of Christ Church, Oxford. In 1693 he was appointed rector of St James’s, Westminster. Ten years later he became dean of Exeter, and in 1705 he was consecrated bishop of Lincoln. He was translated to the see of Canterbury in 1716 on the death of Thomas Tenison. During 1718 he negotiated with leading French churchmen about a projected union of the Gallican and English churches to resist the claims of Rome (see J. H. Lupton, Archbishop Wake and the Project of Union, 1896). In dealing with nonconformity he was tolerant, and even advocated a revision of the Prayer Book if that would allay the scruples of dissenters. His writings are numerous, the chief being his State of the Church and Clergy of England … historically deduced (London, 1703). He died at Lambeth on January 24 1736/7 (courtesy of Wikipedia). Here are the contents of The Suppressed Gospels and Epistles of the New Testament: VOLUME. 1 – THE GOSPEL OF THE BIRTH OF MARY. VOLUME. 2 – THE GOSPEL CALLED THE PROTEVANGELION VOLUME. 3 – THE FIRST GOSPEL OF THE INFANCY OF JESUS CHRIST. VOLUME. 4 – THE GOSPEL OF NICODEMUS, FORMERLY CALLED THE ACTS OF PONTIUS PILATE VOLUME. 5 – THE EPISTLES OF JESUS CHRIST & ABGARUS KING OF EDESSA. VOLUME. 6 – THE FIRST EPISTLE OF CLEMENT TO THE CORINTHIANS. VOLUME. 7 – THE GENERAL EPISTLE OF BARNABAS. VOLUME. 8 – THE EPISTLE OF IGNATIUS TO THE EPHESIANS. VOLUME. 9 – THE FIRST PART OF THE BOOK OF HERMAS CALLED HIS VISION. BONUS BOOKS: The Lost Books of the Bible and The Forgotten Books of EdenA good variety and collection of books which, for whatever reason, were excluded by the early Church councils from what became the Old Testament and New Testament we know today. Initially published in the early 1900’s, each one of the “Lost Books” includes a brief introduction giving background and history. Like the editors of this two-part volume, it is necessary to share personal opinions of the historicity of these works, each reader can decide for him or herself what is shadow and what is reality, and consider the debate which at one time engulfed some of these books. This volume is divided into two sections. The first is called “Lost Books of the Bible”, and includes works which deal with Jesus & the apostles, and may at one time have been considered part of the New Testament Gospel. Included are the following 26 “lost” books: The Gospel of the Nativity of Mary The Book of James, or Protoevangelion The Gospel of the Infancy of JESUS CHRIST I Infancy II Infancy III Infancy IV Infancy The Epistle of Jesus Christ The Gospel of Nicodemus The Apostles’ Creed The Epistle of Paul to the Laodiceans The Epistles of Paul to Seneca The Acts of Paul and Thelca First Epistle of Clement to the Corinthians Second Epistle of Clement to the Corinthians The General Epistle of Barnabus The Epistle of Ignatius to the Magnesians The Epistle of Ignatius to the Ephesians The Epistle of Ignatius to the Romans The Epistle of Ignatius to the Trallians The Epistle of Ignatius to the Philadelphians The Epistle of Ignatius to the Smyrnaeans The Epistle of Ignatius to Polycarp The Epistle of Polycarp to the Philippians The Shepherd of Hermas The Lost Gospel According to Peter The second part is titled “The Forgotten Books of Eden”, and includes works which are suited to the Hebrew Bible, or Old Testament. They too were excluded by Jewish (and some Christian) councils due to doubts about their age and origins. Included are the following 22 books: The Testament of Abraham The Book of Adam and Eve The Second Book of Adam and Eve The Life of Adam and Eve (Slovic) The Story of Ahikar The Letter of Aristeas The Odes of Solomon The Testaments of the Twelve Patriarchs (12 books) The Psalms of Solomon II Esdras IV Maccabees This affordable book offers a thought provoking read for those with a general interest “outside of the box”. While the translations are somewhat dated, they are not difficult to understand. Having this book on a CD is a dream come true. A wonderful feature of this CD is the ability to “copy and paste” any of the text from its over 1,000 pages into any other computer application/program. Try doing that with a printed book! Everything on this disk is fully searchable. And with so many pages and chapters to study, having built-in Bookmarks is definitely a time saver! Do you like audio books? Another time-saving feature not talked about very often is the “Read Aloud” function of Adobe Acrobat Reader. This feature will allow your computer to read the text of the book to you, whether it be one page or the entire book! (Don’t be fooled by others on eBay who try to pass off their eBooks as the only ones with this feature, as it will work with nearly any PDF in Adobe Acrobat) Don’t pass up this opportunity to obtain a copy of these awesome Bible reference books! Original hard copy editions of these works have sold on eBay for many times the cost of this disk. With this CD you can read the same pages on your computer, or print out any pages you like at your convenience. All files are in PDF format and are bookmarked for easy navigation. Not sure what an “eBook” is? The term ‘eBook’ simply means “electronic book”, meant for viewing on your computer or other device. Ebooks usually come in Adobe PDF format, as the one being offered in this auction. All that is required to read the Ebook is a software program called Adobe Acrobat Reader, which will open PDF files. Most computers already have the Adobe Acrobat reader software already installed, but in the rare instance your computer may not have it, you can download the latest version for FREE at www.adobe.com. For viewing on a mobile device such as Kindle, iPhone, Droid, etc. you must have an ‘app’ installed which allows reading of PDF files. With an Ebook, you can read books on your computer screen and zoom in on the text to make the words as big as you would like them to be to read comfortably! You can also go to any page or chapter in the book with just a few mouse clicks, even if the book has thousands of pages! You can also print out any or all pages you like at your convenience. With some Ebooks, you even have the capability to copy and paste the text of the book into another computer file, instead of retyping by hand. These are just a few of the features and conveniences of having a book in electronic format.I will send this item by postal mail. Additional Useful InformationShipping: Items will ship usually the same or next business day after receiving cleared payment. Auctions finishing on a weekend will usually be sent Monday morning. Auctions finishing on or before a holiday will ship first business day after the holiday. I print the majority of labels from home so completed auction items can be dispatched quickly and promptly to you.Shipping Fees: Most of my shipping fees are calculated according to your delivery address. Please do not ask us to ship to a different address as we will be unable to make the requested changes. Please ensure that the delivery address is correct before placing your order as we will now only ship to confirmed delivery addresses. This helps protect both you and myself.Combining Shipping Fees: I will combine shipping fees wherever I can to make things cheaper for you. Extremely large items may not be able to be combined. Please message me for a quote first or wait for an invoice before sending payment. I check daily for finished auctions and will respond quickly. If you win multiple auctions and decide to pay straight away, I will work out the best shipping option for you and refund any overpayment that you have made.International shipping: We are sorry but we do not currently offer International shipping. We only ship within the United States.Packaging: I ship using strong cardboard boxes with bubble wrap and/or paper stuffing where necessary. Boxes are sealed many times with strong tape. For smaller items they will ship in padded envelopes.Payment: I ship as soon as cleared payment is received. PayPal is preferred method of payment. I prefer payment within 3 business days where possible as the unpaid item assistant will start automatically after 4 days. If you need extra time to pay or are waiting for other auctions to finish, please message me via eBay to let me know and I will extend your payment time where necessary.Storage: Items are stored in boxes on shelves and smaller items in sealed containers to ensure minimal wear and tear. Even though the majority of my items are new , some may show minor shelf wear or store price labels. If there are any other significant marks , creases or damage to boxes I will point it out wherever I can in the auction description.Item Condition: If an item is marked as new, it has been purchased from a store, new and sealed. New does not mean mint condition. Slight shelf wear and or pricing labels may be expected. In 90% of my auctions this is very minor and hardly noticeable. In some cases if the box is badly damaged , marked or open , these auctions will typically be a few dollars cheaper than my regular prices. If a box shows signs of opening or has had tape removed from it, I will usually open the box fully myself to ensure all the contents are there. If there is any damage to a box other than minor shelf wear I will list it as such on the auction. If an item is marked as used it will be in excellent condition. I will not sell items that are damaged or missing parts.Where do I get my stock: I have been trading on eBay for a number of years, more recently as a specialist in one particular children’s toy. This new account is for items that do not fit into that category and may include new and used items , store closeouts and will be in a variety of categories. Feel free to ask me any questions about any of the items that I list.Holiday Shipping: It does get extremely busy around major holidays and we do ship daily. However, please be aware that delays can still occur. Ebay will sometimes post of severe weather delays or communications issues and I will notify you if there are any other issues concerning your items. I always provide tracking numbers so you can track where your parcel is. If you need an item by a specific date, example Christmas Day, please order as early as possible.
