Vintage Solicitor Hand Written Ledger Cash Accounts Book Old Journal Prop Shop
Hall 43 Lovely old ledger compiled by a firm of solicitors. 33x23cm- 380+ pages – numbered to 193 but each number used twice- completely full. Cover only mildly worn – but content good and all hand written. One of nine I have from the same source. 1947 Vintage Ledger Accounts Cash Book Pringles Stores Grocer County Durham Prop
No 9. 33x22cm 200 plus pages – numbered to 100 or so but each number used twice. The book Is completed and all hand written. Pringles stores of Easington Lane, may have been in Hetton or Gateshead but certainly somewhere in the County Durham region. More research needed. They were purveyors of groceries and provisions, drapery and boots. Cover shows some wear but interior is good although obviously reflects its age. Lots more ledgers from this company in my eBay shop.

Good shape for its age. Writing on pages 1-64. Pages 65-400 have no writing.

Found one page with 1916 in upper right corner. unused pages are dispersed, 43 full double sided pages are full of hand written recipes. seems like overs are oil cloth, glued over cardboard, so it looks like this was a lined sewn notebook covered with oil cloth.
